Place is a hidden gem. Italian music, Italian waiter, and amazing Italian food. Small, intimate spot... some of the best sauce I've had. Love this place!

We love this place. Is it the best Italian food ever? No. But it is definitely our favorite Upper East Italian place in this price range. There is a distinct old school, authentic vibe. The staff is always attentive and kind... we have even been treated to a free dessert a couple times. I always go for the chicken parm.

I went here for dinner on my birthday and had a lovely dinner. The bread served before the meal was really good and I had the seafood risotto which was delicious. They even brought out a complimentary tiramisu with a candle and it was as equally as yummy as the food I ordered for dinner. The prices match the quality of the food and I would definitely return.

I'm really upset about our experience at this restaurant. Things started off so well, and ended so poorly. The waitress was super friendly and hospitable, and the place seemed cute enough, prices seemed legit...I thought we would have a great dinner...fail.
We ordered a bottle of Shiraz to start and the waitress ran through their list of specials for the night. The salmon tartare sounded good so we put in that order along with our entrees. She came back 5 minutes later and said that they ran out of the salmon tartare so we went with the calamari salad. Well, we must have waited at least 45 minutes before she came over and profusely apologized stating that the order was never put in the system. My date was pretty peeved at that point, and didn't even want the salad.
We then ordered another bottle of wine and the calamari finally came 10 minutes later. The waitress promised us a dessert and port wine as an apply and we repeatedly said that we didn't want it. Moving on, the salad was nothing to rave about, it was pretty flavorless.
Our food came a few minutes after the salad...chicken Parmesan and a cheese tortellini special with shrimp in a creamy sauce. Neither were that great. The say sauce on the chicken Parmesan was bland and my pasta was okay.
Afterwards, they brought over the dessert (tiramisu) and two shots of port wine on ice...(why on ice?)
Again, we said we didn't want it and her retort was, this is the biggest slice I had! We don't want it!! We continuously asked if they could just comp us the wine and they ignored us.
Furthermore, they gave every table port (not just us) and I saw many tables with tiramisu (way to make us feel special).
We left royally annoyed and p'd off. Ruined our Friday evening and the bill was not cheap either. -

I yelped a place near my hotel and rushed through reviews. I saw multiple shout-outs for the truffle tortellini. I did not check dates of reviews. When I arrived, menu had no item. Discussion with server revealed change in owner and chef AND willingness to ask chef for possibility. I declined and ordered back linguine in vodka sauce. Lovely.
While eating chef sends out a mushroom tortellini in a cream truffle sauce. Lovely. Unexpected. Thank you.
